Vocalia is a UK based choir made up of female alumni from Bristol Cathedral’s Girls’ Choir, Cathedral Choir, and Cathedral Consort. Many of our members were part of the very first Girls’ Choir at Bristol Cathedral in 1993, while others only left the cathedral as recently as last year.

Vocalia Choir found its voice in 2024 and has quickly found a loyal following, striking a chord with audiences and garnering praise and interest from the start. The choir has enjoyed a busy and exciting start, with a growing calendar of performances and events.

The choir performs a wide range of repertoire for upper voices, with a focus on classical and cathedral music, as well as a variety of other choral and a cappella works.

Vocalia performs regularly throughout the year in concerts and services, and the choir is available to book for events, weddings, funerals, and other special occasions.

Rooted in the legacy of the first girls to break new ground at Bristol Cathedral, Vocalia celebrates the power of women’s voices – continuing the tradition of women singing together, and proudly contributing to a more inclusive choral landscape.
